Music, food, and a BBQ battle.
Those are just some of the things you’ll find at this year’s Multicultural Festival, hosted by the Town of Dumfries on May 14.
The festival will be held in Garrison Park behind the Town Hall at 17755 Main Street in Dumfries, according to a release.
The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a release.
“[It will be] fun for the whole family and will feature live performances, music, vendors, food, face painting, a bounce house, and more! The festival will once again host the “Dumfries Bar-B-Que Battle” and will allow festival goers to sample each participating vendor’s entry before casting their vote to name the winner,” stated a release.
The Town’s goal is to “incorporate as many cultures as possible into this event as we realize the vast diversity in our community and would like to provide a place for individuals to celebrate their heritage while also educating others”, stated Dumfries Director of Community Services Brittany Heine in a release.
