The Coronavirus has introduced many unknowns to the public.
Finances are no exception.
Individuals and families will be able to learn about available tools and resources at a Money Matters Wealth Building Forum.
The Omicron Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is partnering with Potomac District Supervisor Andrea Bailey for the virtual event.
“It’s safe to say that many of us have been directly or indirectly impacted by the global pandemic. So much so, that it’s highlighted a critical need in the community for resources that will assist people in protecting themselves and their households from economic uncertainty,” chapter President Anika Harris stated. “While there is no one solution, that will completely eliminate the negative financial effects caused by the pandemic, there are steps that can be taken to mitigate them.”
Estate planning, financial planning and foreclosure prevention will be discussed during the free program, which begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The speakers are: Howard University Attorney Keonna Carter, Financial Planner Jonathan Wright, and Attorney and Real Estate Associate Carolyn Vines Sapla.
To participate in the Money Matters Wealth Building Forum, register on eventbrite.
This is one of many events that the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Omicron Chi Omega Chapter is hosting, according to Harris.
