Food banks that are in short supply are receiving support to feed the hungry.
Caliber Collision, a national collision repair company, collected 5.4 million meals through its annual Rhythm Restoration Food Drive.
At local sites, it gathered about 268,000 meals that will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank, according to a release from Caliber Collision.
The food bank’s continued growth each year is reflective of the team members’ interest in helping others, according to Caliber Collision Chief Executive Officer Steve Grimshaw.
“We are very proud of our teammates and grateful to our business partners, customers and friends in the community who have joined us to help put a dent in childhood hunger,” Grimshaw said in a release.
