Members of the public can be a part of a unique experience in August: seeing military tanks up close.
This opportunity is being offered through the Tank Farm Open House that’s put on by the Americans in Wartime Experience.
More than 50 vehicles are set out for display at the annual Nokesville event. The collection is provided by the non-profit’s Founding Chairman, Allan Cors.
Demonstrations, veteran interviews, support groups for those who served, and food trucks are also a part of the Tank Farm Open House.
The program is running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on August 26 and 27 at the Tank Farm, 13906 Aden Road.
Registration can be found on the Americans in Wartime Experience website. Donations to the organization are appreciated but not required.
Volunteer opportunities are available, as well. Anyone who would like to assist with the open house should email Director of Administration Heidi Jenkins at hjenkins@AmericansinWartime.org. To help out at the Tank Farm, contact Operations Manager Marc Sehring at msehring@AmericansinWartime.org.
