Last week, a memorial was placed at the Haymarket Gainesville Community Library to honor longtime Prince William library employee Meredith Murphree.
According to a release, Murphree – who now served as the Gainesville Neighborhood Library Supervisor – began her career in the Prince William Public Library System back in 1983 as a circulation assistant at Central Library.

Meredith was instrumental in the opening of the fifth neighborhood library which took place on May 16, 1987 and served as its manager for 26 years until December 2013,” stated a release.
