The Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting a meeting tonight to discuss building the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail (PHNST).
According to a release, the meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ferlazzo Building Atrium at 15941 Donald Curtis Drive in Woodbridge.
The goal of the project is to build a trail system that will connect communities from Powell’s Creek to Stafford County, stated a release.
Currently, Prince William Parks and Recreation is working with the National Park Service, the Northern Virginia Regional Commission, and other local agencies to build out the PHNST, stated a release.
There will also be discussions on improving and expanding the existing trails at Locust Shade Park.
Attendees will be able to comment on the trail and what they’d like to see done.
