Photographers, writers, videographers and artists have a chance to be recognized.
Nominations for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s 2020 Annual Awards Program are being accepted, according to a release from the non-profit.
Due January 15, the entries should focus on the history, service, culture or traditions of the United States Marine Corps. They may be submitted to 17 categories, such as poetry, documentary and screenplay.
“The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation’s Annual Awards Program provides us the opportunity to celebrate and recognize individuals who use their talents to educate our nation about the service and sacrifice of all Marines,” Marine Corps Heritage Foundation President and CEO MajGen James Kessler said in a release. “We invite every scholar, writer, photographer and artist whose work has focused on the Marine Corps to submit an entry today.”
A gold medal and a commemorative brick will be awarded to the winners. They may also receive $2,000.
Information about the categories, nomination requirements and previous awardees can be found on the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation website.
