Prince William County is remembering one of its own.
Manley Garber passed away on Sunday, according to Board of County Supervisor Chair Ann Wheeler’s newsletter, The Wheeler Report.
A former Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) board member, Garber helped bring electricity to much of the county in the 1940s.
The Prince William Chamber of Commerce awarded him with the Charles J. Colgan Visionary Award in 2018.
Below, is an interview that Robert Moser from Historic Prince William filmed for What’s Up Prince William in October 2019.
During the interview, Garber spoke about Prince William County’s history.
