A Virginia Lottery winner has been named.
Marilyn Dodson won $100,000 after buying a ticket in Woodbridge.
Dodson played Cash 5 and chose 5-6-7-11-12, according to a release from the Virginia Lottery. The numbers, which connect with the birthdays of family members, matched those drawn on September 11.
“I was shocked,” the Manassas resident told the Virginia Lottery. “It feels great!”
The Virginia Lottery winner purchased her ticket from Shell/E&C, 14352 Gideon Drive, and has no plans for her prize.
Drawings for the Cash 5 game take place at 1:59 p.m. and 11 p.m. every day. Players have a 1 in 278,256 chance of winning $100,000.
