The City of Manassas celebrated the hard work of their staff at the 2017 Above & Beyond Awards last week.
The awards ceremony was held at Stonewall Park. Other staff members nominated their colleagues for the awards.
“We are a relatively small group as a city, but we are spread out all over the city, so that’s why we try to bring everybody together,” said City Manager Patrick Pate.
Three awards were handed out to staff members – the Servant Heart Award, the City Beat Award, and the Above and Beyond Award. All are awarded to nominees that have demonstrated their commitment to their work, and going above and beyond.
