Learn more about the upcoming Manassas public safety facility on June 27.
The City of Manassas is hosting a Public Safety Facility Open House at the Manassas City Police Community Room at 9518 Fairview Avenue at 7 p.m.

A new facility is slated to be built at the Grant Avenue Shopping Center on Grant Avenue. The site was originally the Manassas Flea Market, which was closed last year, as the City purchased the 3.55 acre parcel, according to city documents.
Last year, the sign for the plaza and flea market was removed as part of the upcoming Grant Avenue Streetscapes project.
A study completed by Dewberry shows that the Manassas City Police Department needs additional space as the area grows and more officers and public safety staff are brought on.
The documents show that the project is projected to cost $18.5 million.
