The Manassas Museum is contributing to a state exhibit.
Curator Mary Helen Dellinger is collaborating with the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) in Richmond on an exhibit called “Our Community”, according to a release from the City of Manassas.
“This has been a year-long process working with the VMHC to create this exhibit about our state,” Dellinger said in a release. “It is an honor for the Manassas Museum to be a part of this project and we look forward to attending the grand opening in 2022.”
Five galleries – Northern Virginia, Central Virginia, Southwest Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley and the Tidewater area – will make up the display. The Northern Virginia section will include pieces from the Manassas Museum.
It’s the first time that the Virginia Museum of History & Culture is creating a display with curators from various parts of Virginia.
