Want to be prepared for an emergency?
Then take part in the upcoming CERT class, offered by the City of Manassas Community Emergency Response Team (CMCERT).
According to a release, the class runs from September 19 to November 5 and includes “disaster preparedness, medical operations, first aid, CPR, fire suppression, search and rescue, and traffic and crowd management.”

Being a CMCERT member is a great opportunity for growth and public service. CMCERT trains the community in planning and preparation for emergencies, and recovering from emergencies with greater resilience. CMCERT assists the City’s emergency services when responding to and recovering from disasters. CMCERT also provides first aid services at special events in the City of Manassas.
According to a release, applicants must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a background investigation from the Virginia State Police. To apply for the fall class, click here. http://www.manassascert.com
