Girls and STEM? You bet.
The Manassas Boys & Girls Club is hosting their Tech Girls Rock workshop on January 29 at 9501 Dean Park Lane from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
According to a release, the workshop is an unique opportunity for girls ages 10 to 16 to explore STEM careers and industries, using interactive activities.

The workshop includes career exploration panels with technology professionals who will share their own experiences. Participants also will engage in discussions on key IT trends and topics, and will participate in technology-focused challenges and projects, which will provide hands-on technology experience.
Representatives from Boys & Girls Clubs National Staff and CA Technologies professionals will be on hand to mentor the young ladies and to lead activities in coding and do-it-yourself STEM projects.
More than 100 young girls participated in the last Tech Girls Rock event hosted in 2014.
