Looking for strategies to mentor young men in the community? Then take part in Make The Future’s “Legacy Lectures” in Woodbridge.
The free event will be held on October 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Potomac Library at 2201 Opitz Boulevard in Woodridge, according to a release.
The lecture will be run by former Virginia Delegate Michael Futrell and Dr. Bernadine Futrell as part of their Make The Future organization, which works on leadership development, mentoring, and empowerment for youth in the community.
Following the lecture, Michael Futrell will facilitate a conversation among the fathers, sons, uncles, nephews, and other mentors in attendance, according to a release.
“The goals of the Legacy Lecture are to provide a venue for men to come together to share strategies for meeting the challenges and opportunities of being a leading man and to model for younger men the effective behavior of a leading man,” stated a release.
