The spirit of a beloved restaurant is returning to Manassas.
Mackey’s on Main is having a soft opening on Monday.
Mike Hanley and his business partners, Karen and Travis Williams, are establishing the restaurant at 9329 Main Street.
“We got together a few months ago, trying to bring … a restaurant back to life that was our second home for a lot of us,” Hanley said.
Mackey’s on Main will serve American-style food, including burgers and wings.
“We’re going to be trying to do our french bread pizza, as well,” Hanley said. “As with our grill, we’re going to be using lava rocks, giving an even cook with everything.”
A sports bar that has 21 TV’s will be located on the upper level.
The business will offer another bar and fine dining space downstairs.
Outdoor dining spaces will be available, as well.
“We’ll have our front patio, which is non-smoking, very fenced-in,” Hanley said. “We have a very nice atmosphere there.”
Mackey’s on Main will also feature a back patio, an indoor smoking section, and a banquet room.
“We’ll be able to hold events, open mic nights, maybe a movie night,” Hanley said. “We can do weddings, expos, such forth.”
