Community members have an opportunity to support an organization that’s providing free home repairs to area residents.
Project Mend-A-House (PMAH) in Manassas was founded 34 years ago.
It serves seniors, veterans and individuals with disabilities who are living in Prince William County, and the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, according to Executive Director Karen Mills.
“The volunteers that we have are a dynamic group of retirees — men and women — that go into the homes and make minor repairs to their homes,” Mills said.
The repairs are allowing PMAH clients to stay in their residencies.
On June 28, the non-profit is having its first annual Luau Fundraiser at VFW Post 1503, 14631 Minnieville Road in Dale City.
Running from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the event will offer Hawaiian BBQ, a limbo competition, a 50/50 raffle and a quilt raffle.
Advanced tickets are $20 each, $30 for couples, and $40 per family.
They are available for purchase on InsideNoVaTix.
