Area Lowe’s employees completed improvement projects as volunteers at Fred Lynn Middle School in Woodbridge over the weekend.
The volunteers are part of the Lowe’s Heroes Project, where Lowe’s employees work with a non-profit or K-12 public school to complete a project that benefits the community, according to their website.
“We’re just so pleased and grateful to Lowe’s for selecting Fred Lynn to do this outside project. It’s going to be wonderful,” said Prince William County School Board member Lillie Jessie.
The volunteers completed a butterfly garden, as well as a garden project in the school’s courtyard, and helped to set up the indoor greenhouse.
“We had kids helping from our classroom, and it was just a great experience,” said Prince William County Schools special education teacher Susan Ethridge.
