Area organizations are making an impact around the world.
First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City (FUPCDC) and Covenant Presbyterian Church in Dale City are partnering together for a meal packing event on April 27.
Held at FUPCDC, 14391 Minnieville Road, the program will run from 8:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
They plan to create more than 20,000 packets that contain soy, rice and dehydrated vegetables.
Rise Against Hunger, a non-profit, will deliver the meals to those in need.
“This is a wonderful way to help provide nutritious meals to hungry people around the world,” Covenant Presbyterian Church Co-Pastor Bev Swayze wrote in an email.
