Getting rid of litter in the county is the main objective of Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB).
Monthly community litter cleanups is one way the environmental non-profit seeks to accomplish this.
KPWB and the Town of Occoquan are hosting this month’s event.
Running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on December 12, the litter cleanup starts at Rollingwood Village Community in Occoquan.
Participants must register and wear a mask. They are also advised to wear closed-toed shoes, pants and long sleeves, and bring a water bottle.
Organizers are providing garbage bags, litter pickers, safety vests, gloves and hand sanitizer.
Volunteers will receive a discount from BallyWhack Shack in Occoquan.
Those who would like to sign up or learn more may visit the KPWB website or contact Environmental Programs Manager Sean Morrow at smorrow@kpwb.org.
