Visitors of Montclair Community Library learned about a prominent Prince William County family.
Members of the Lee family were highlighted at a talk that was presented by Historic Prince William.
Historic Prince William is a non-profit that aims to share historic information and promoted historical preservation, according to its website.
Jim Bish, a teacher and former county resident, gave the talk on Tuesday.
Col. Richard “The Immigrant” Lee I came to the United States. He and his wife, Anne, had a son — Col. Richard “The Scholar” Lee II, who had four children with his wife, Laetitia.
The four children were former Virginia Governor Col. Thomas Lee, Captain Henry Lee I, Philip Lee and Anne Lee.

Other members of the Lee family include Major General Henry “Light Horse Harry” Lee III.
Henry Lee III was born at Leesylvania Plantation — which is now Leesylvania State Park — and later served as Virginia’s governor. His son, Robert E. Lee, served as a commander of the Confederate Army.
Below, is the Lee family presentation.
