Two lemonade stands will be open for business in Bristow this week.
High school and middle school students are raising funds for two Prince William County non-profits through Leadership Prince William (LPW) Summer Youth Academy’s annual Leadership Lemonade fundraiser.
Leadership Lemonade, which runs until Thursday, is a competition that seeks to encourage philanthropy and awareness of the community.
Participants are divided into two teams — the Red Team will be fundraising for Haymarket-based Serve Our Willing Warriors, and the Blue Team will be supporting the Freedom Museum in Manassas.
The students chose the two organizations last week after meeting with representatives from eight Prince William County non-profits.
The stands will be set up from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Youth for Tomorrow (YFT).
Donations can also be made online.
