Youth who have experienced trauma can have a difficult time coping with anger, stress and anxiety.
Members of the Leadership Prince William (LPW) Class of 2020 are trying to provide them with spaces where they can heal.
The LPW alumni are seeking donations for Youth for Tomorrow, which assists children and families who are in crisis.
Crisis intervention counseling, therapeutic day treatment and mentoring, and intensive in-home care are among the services Youth for Tomorrow offers. The non-profit has a residential program in Bristow, as well.
Until December 5, the LPW alumni are raising $25,000. The funds will be used to create sensory rooms and an outdoor obstacle course.
Those interested in contributing can make a donation through PayPal or mail a check to: Leadership Prince William, 9720 Capital Court, Suite 204, Manassas, VA 20110. Checks should be made payable to Leadership Prince William.
Anyone who would like to provide materials may email LPW Executive Director Andrea Money at andrea@leadershipprincewilliam.org.
