Michael Vanderpool is an advocate for leadership.
It’s one of the many reasons that he’s being recognized next month.
Vanderpool has been named the recipient of Leadership Prince William’s (LPW) Vision Award, according to a release from LPW.
LPW is a Manassas-based non-profit that inspires local leaders to have an impact on their community.
Each year, it presents its Vision Award to someone who lives or works in Prince William County or the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park, Executive Director Andrea Money explained.
“The recognition is for innovative, strategic or bold leadership that has had a positive impact on a significant portion of our community,” Money said in a release.
Former award recipients include the late Senator Charles J. Colgan. The late county Supervisor John Jenkins and his wife, Ernestine, received it last year.
Vanderpool will be recognized at LPW’s Evening of Excellence Gala, which will be held at the Clubs at Quantico on June 21.
The former Prince William Chamber of Commerce Chairmen founded law firm Vanderpool, Frostick & Nishanian, P.C. in addition to four other businesses.
“From the time Mike began his firm in Manassas he has been a champion for our community, taking on leadership roles in various organizations and projects,” LPW Board of Regents Chair Mary Colgan Finnigan said in a release. “Mike is truly a man of vision, and he has worked diligently to make our community a wonderful place to live, work, and play.”
Vanderpool was also the founding Chairman for the Hylton Performing Arts Center and founding Chair of the Manassas Education Foundation.
Tickets are available for the Evening of Excellence. Those interested in attending may purchase them on LPW’s website or call 571-765-7568.
