There’s no good excuse for not buckling up. That is the message of this year’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign.
May 13 to June 2 the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) will be conducting high visibility patrols day and night, according to a press release by the police department.
The objective of the patrols is to ensure drivers and their passengers are wearing their seat belts.
Virginia Law states it is the driver’s responsibility to make sure all children, ages 15 and under, are secured properly.
In addition, children ages 8 to 15 must use a safety seat, booster seat, or seat belt. Children under the age of 8 must ride in a federally approved, secured safety seat.
