Lane closures are scheduled for overnight road work next week in Stafford on Courthouse Road.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), there will be single lane closures on Courthouse Road between Lynhaven Lane and Monument Avenue, while crews work on replacing a drainage pipe under the road.
The closures will take place on January 18 and 19 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
More on the closures, from a release:
Traffic will be down to one lane on Courthouse Road near the Augustine subdivision for approximately a half-mile in both directions the nights of Tuesday, Jan. 18 and Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. All travel lanes will be open by 5:30 a.m.
Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone as crews install a shallow pipe to facilitate temporary drainage under Courthouse Road. Work will continue along the roadway for the next few weeks, but will not require any additional lane closures.
Motorists planning to travel on Courthouse Road overnight next week may experience brief delays.
