The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is working on several projects in the area that could lead to lane closures and delays.
According to VDOT, there will be single lane closures along northbound Route 29 between Lucas Court and Carver Road in Gainesville.
The closures will be happening through May 10 from 8 pm. to 4 a.m. as crews work on replacing a drainage pipe, stated VDOT.
“One lane will remain open to traffic during the work; however, drivers should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes,” stated a release.
And starting tonight through May 12, there will be lane closures and delays on I-95 overnight, as crews work on the bridge over the Ni River in the Fredericksburg area.
“Crews will repair the joints to the I-95 overpass of Route 17 at Exit 133/Falmouth in Stafford County,” stated VDOT.
