Lake Ridge resident Seth Scofield has just published a novel called “The Hiker”, based on the Northern Virginia area.
According to a release, the idea for the suspense-thriller novel – which is set in the Appalachian Mountains – came to Scofield after hiking in the area.
“The idea actually came to me while hiking out near Front Royal Virginia. I was on a day hike near Big Meadows in the Shenandoah National Park, and the story started as visual images in my head,” stated Scofield in a release.
Scofield, a graduate of Woodbridge Senior High School, has worked in the film industry for many years, working on films including ‘Savannah’, ‘Refuge’, and BET’s ‘Being Mary Jane’ television series, according to a release.
“It was a huge undertaking, the copyright, the licensing rights from Sony, all of that stuff had to be cleared,” stated Scofield in a release.
The novel will be available via Amazon’s Kindle direct publishing soon, according to a release.
