The Lake Ridge Rotary hosted their 18th annual Celebrity Luncheon at the Bistro L’Hermitage in Occoquan yesterday, raising around $10,000 for various community service projects.
It was a packed house at the luncheon, as several ‘celebrity’ community figures served, performed for, and serenaded guests throughout the event.
The list of celebrity servers included Coles District Supervisor ‘Marty’ Nohe, Prince William County Fire & Rescue Chief Kevin McGee, Occoquan Mayor ‘Liz’ Quist, Woodbridge Sentara Northern Virginia Hospital President Steve Porter, State Senator George Barker, Occoquan District Supervisor Ruth Anderson, and Prince William County’s ‘5 Most Influential Women’ Bryanna Altman, Diana Paguaga, Kathy Bentz, Marlo Thomas Watson, and Ramunda Lark Young.
Marlo Thomas Watson was the winning celebrity server, getting $340 in tips during the event.
The money raised from the event will go toward several causes promoted by the Lake Ridge Rotary, and to benefit local organizations like Action Through Community Service (ACTS), the Boy Scouts of America, and Project Mend-a-House.
