Krispy Kreme wants you to celebrate the solar eclipse with a first-ever for the company – a chocolate glaze donut.
On August 19 and 20 during “hot light” hours from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and all day on August 21 – the day of the eclipse – the special donut will be available.
“The solar eclipse is a rare occasion providing a total sensory experience for viewers across the continental U.S. Chocolate will have the same effect as we introduce a first-time chocolate glazing of our iconic Original Glazed Doughnut,” stated Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Jackie Woodward in a release.
According to Krispy Kreme Community Ambassador Christopher Huffman, the special donut will be take the original glazed donut, smothered in a chocolate glaze.
“Come in and check out the difference between our original glazed and the new chocolate glazed,” stated Huffman.
The donuts will be available for a limited time only. Krispy Kreme in Manassas will be participating in the promotion.
