“I Recycle” events will be happening in Prince William County as part of America Recycles Day (ARD) on November 15.
The Prince William County Solid Waste team and non-profit Keep Prince William Beautiful will host several events, joining a network of volunteers across the country celebrating ARD.
“America Recycles Day is the only nationally recognized day and coast-to-coast community-driven awareness campaign dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. It has been held on – and in the weeks leading into – November 15 since 1997,” stated a release.
The group will be at Chinn Park Library, the McCoart Administrative building, and the Development Services building between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to a release.
“On November 16, volunteers will also be at Bull Run Regional Library. There will be recycling education activities and prizes. Additionally, residents can take the ‘I Recycle’ pledge and enter a drawing to win regional prizes. Prizes include: $300 REI gift card and $500 grant to a local school’s K-12 environmental program,” stated a release.
Prince William residents can sign up for the ARD recycling pledge at the Chinn Park library or by clicking here, before November 20.
