High school students are stretching their artistic skills.
Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB), a Dale City-based non-profit, is taking submissions for its third Annual Art Contest.
High school students may enter original pieces that aren’t larger than 11-by-14 until April 1.
Artwork should reflect the theme, “Protecting Our Pollinators.” They can be created through various medium, including photography, fiber, paint and markers.
The first place winner will receive a $500 scholarship, and the runner-ups for the categories will earn certificates.
Participants must mail entries, entry forms, and a statement about the piece to the KPWB office — 4391 Ridgewood Center Drive, Suite F, Woodbridge, VA 22192.
They may also be brought to Burke & Herbert Bank sites, which are located at 17119 Wayside Drive in Dumfries, 4605 Daisy Reid Avenue in Lake Ridge, 14008 Smoketown Road in Woodbridge, and 9103 Centreville Road in Manassas.
