Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB) is hosting their ‘Recycle Bowl’ competition in Prince William County next month.
According to a release, KPWB is encouraging schools in Prince William County to participate in the competition.
The program will run from October 16 to November 15, and the school teams will track and weigh their recyclables online over the four weeks, before submitting them to see how they stacked up with other schools.
“We believe Prince William County is poised to demonstrate to the wider world how clean, green communities are vibrant, thriving ones. We encourage all Prince William County schools to join this competition, have fun, and teach the next generation the importance of recycling, and how it will help save our environment,” stated KPWB Executive Director Jason Parsons in a release.
All K-12 schools in the county can participate, and registration is open through October 13.
The winning school will win a landscape prize. For more information on the event, click here.
