A Manassas-based non-profit has been recognized by a national organization.
Keep Manassas Beautiful recently received the President’s Circle Award from Keep America Beautiful.
The award acknowledges Keep America Beautiful affiliates that demonstrate “exemplary performance” as they seek to create clean communities, according to a release.
Many volunteers have adopted streets, parks and historic sites in the City of Manassas.
“The City of Manassas has many outstanding volunteers,” City Manager Patrick Pate said in a release. “We count them as a great resource for the City and the community.”
The city became an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful late last year.
Keep America Beautiful aims to prevent littering, and promoting recycling and beautification.
