Runners and walkers will be able to complete an annual fundraiser – together.
IWALK for ACTS has been held virtually during the past couple of years, due to COVID-19. This year, it’s going to be an in-person event.
Scheduled for October 8, the 5K is taking place at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center, 15201 Potomac Town Place in Woodbridge. A family festival that features activities, games and music will follow the race.
Registration is now open on the IWALK for ACTS website. It costs $15 per person and $30 for a family. Donations are also being accepted and sponsorships are available.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support programs run by Action in Community Through Service (ACTS), a Dumfries-based non-profit that offers a variety of services for community members.
