IT company buys Department of Defense contractor

A Woodbridge-based information technology (IT) company is expanding.

Engineering Solutions and Products (ESP), a contractor for the Department of Defense (DoD), has been acquired by Sev1Tech.

Sev1Tech, which was established nine years ago, offers various services to government agencies and organizations.

This is one step the company is taking to grow, according to a release from the Prince William County Department of Economic Development (PWCDED).

“As part of our mid-tier strategy, this transaction provides Sev1Tech with unique field and tactical capabilities,” Sev1Tech CEO Bob Lohfeld said in a release. “We are excited to demonstrate our commitment to customer service and introduce our enhanced IT capabilities to the U.S. Army.”
