Readers, writers and aspiring authors have become more knowledgeable about available resources.
The Bel Air Woman’s Club held its Appetizers and Authors program on October 21.
A community service organization, the club runs and co-sponsors various events.
Its members meet at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City, 14391 Minnieville Road.
Hosted at Clearbrook Center for the Arts in Lake Ridge, the third annual Appetizers and Authors event featured a panel of six authors — John Dutton, Katherine Gotthardt, PM Hernandez, Nancy Kyme, Natalina Reis and Adria Wilkins.
Reading groups, publishing and writing were a few topics they discussed, according to Patti Beattie from Bel Air Woman’s Club.
The authors also talked about their inspirations.
In addition to getting to know the writers, attendees enjoyed appetizers and were able to see the work of area artists.
