Prince William County has an extensive history.
Various history programs are exploring it this month.
Held by the Ruth E. Lloyd Information Center (RELIC), the events include a discussion about Library of Virginia resources that’s taking place between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on October 3.
Reference Archivist Kevin Shupe will point out materials at the Bull Run Regional Library, 8051 Ashton Avenue in Manassas, according to a release from Prince William County.
Citizens can travel back to 1919 and learn about the impact of the first World War on October 15.
Prince William County Historian and Preservationist Bill Backus is leading the discussion, which runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Bull Run Regional Library.
Genealogical resources are going to be covered at the Fall Family History Fair on Oct. 19.
The event is occurring at Montclair Community Library, 5049 Waterway Drive in Dumfries, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Participants may also visit the Barnes House, which stands on the property.
