Transportation leaders are attempting to address eastern Prince William County traffic.
They are planning to build an auxiliary lane between Route 123 and Prince William Parkway on I-95 South.
Expected to extend one and a half miles, the road work would be funded through the 95 Express Lanes Project Comprehensive Agreement as well as the federal and state governments.
County residents will be able to provide input on the I-95 project at an upcoming public hearing.
The meeting, which is hosted by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), is set for 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on December 4.
It will be held at Old Bridge Elementary School, 3051 Old Bridge Road in Woodbridge.
If there is severe weather, the public hearing will be rescheduled to December 11.
Community members can also send feedback to Mr. Calvin Britt, P.E., Project Manager, Virginia Department of Transportation, 4975 Alliance Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030 until December 16.
Additional details about the project is available on VDOT’s website.
