Hylton High School senior Ricky Slade Jr. has accepted his jersey to play in the 2018 Under Armour All-American game.
Slade accepted the jersey at a ceremony yesterday afternoon, to play in the prestigious annual game, which is happening in Orlando, Florida this coming January.
Under Armour selected some of the best high school football players across the United States to participate in the game. Current NFL players are among those that were picked to play in past All-American games.
“We’re really honored here at Hylton High School to have a player selected to play in such a prestigious game as the Under Armour All-American game,” said Hylton High School football coach Tony Lilly.
Slade has committed to playing at Penn State University next year.
“I enjoy the contact more than anything. I like the close games, you know, I just like the adrenaline. I just love the whole thing about football, everything about it just makes me happy,” said Slade.
