An upcoming event will make it easier for community members to keep track of their pets.
A free Microchip Clinic has been set for April 23.
The Humane Society of Northern Virginia (HSNV) is hosting it at Willow Animal Hospital, which stands at 4228 Aiken Drive in Vint Hill.
Pets will receive a microchip through the event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This service will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.
Dogs must be on a leash and cats should remain in carriers during the Microchip Clinic.
Donations to HSNV are appreciated.
Located at 17983 Dumfries Shopping Plaza in Dumfries, the humane society is powered by Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets (A3P). The non-profit began operating in 2021.
