Obtaining food is a concern for many community members.
House of Mercy (HOM) is addressing this need with its Campaign to End Hunger on Saturday.
Through the food-packing event, the organization hopes to make more than 100,000 rice servings, according to its website.
HOM and other non-profits will distribute the meals to Virginia residents who are in needy.
Campaign to End Hunger is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at HOM, 8170 Flannery Court in Manassas.
