A 10-mile bike ride is helping families who are facing homelessness.
Carried to Full Term (CTFT) is hosting its first Heroes for Housing Bike Ride Fundraiser on August 19. It begins at 7 a.m. at Prince William Forest Park, 18170 Park Entrance Road in Triangle.

Snacks, water stations and rest stops will be set up along the bike route, according to a release from CTFT.
“We are so excited for the Heroes for Housing Bike Ride Fundraiser, which not only provides a fun and engaging experience for our participants but also makes a tangible impact in the lives of women and children facing homelessness,” Founder and Director Frances Robin said in a release. “Through the collective efforts of our generous sponsors, dedicated supporters, and passionate cyclists, we can make a meaningful difference and create a brighter future for those in need.”
Registration costs $55 in advance. Those planning to participate may sign up through the Carried to Full Term website. They can also mail their contact information and a check to: Carried To Full Term at 6740 Fayette Street, Haymarket, VA 20169. It will cost $75 to register at the event.
The proceeds are going to Carried to Full Term. Established in 2012, the non-profit offers housing to women who are pregnant and homeless.
