By Traci DeGroat, President and CEO – Habitat for Humanity Prince William County
Last week, volunteers worked indoors and outdoors on the rehab on Central Park Drive in Woodbridge in partnership with family partners, Tesfaye Abuye and Wudasie Retta.
Joyce Hudson, Habitat Volunteer, laid grout on the new floors in the bathroom on Thursday, June 9.
While other volunteers dug a drainage ditch around the home and laid flexible drainage pipe to capture run-off from a neighboring downspout and direct it away from the home.
Dave Williams is a consistent presence at the worksite, assisting Construction Team Leader, John Blake, with volunteer team-leading and keeping the work going.
Arthur “Roy” Butt, another volunteer reliably found at the Habitat for Humanity Prince William County jobsite, has put in hundreds of hours on the construction site over the past year.
We appreciate all of the volunteers who serve our community and the families who are our partners. We invite people from all walks of life and faiths to work together in partnership to build, rehab and repair homes with families in need.
