Local programs offered for children and teenagers are benefiting from an upcoming fundraiser.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available for the Great Big Kid Event that’s scheduled for October 25.
Starting at 6 p.m., it will be hosted at the Martin K. Alloy Boys & Girls Club, 9501 Dean Park Lane in Manassas.
County Executive Christopher Shorter, a former Boys and Girls Club member, is the keynote speaker.

Individuals and organizations interested in supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs can visit the BidPal website. There, they will be able to meet the teams, buy tickets, and become a sponsor.
Tickets are $150, and sponsorships span from $1,000 to $8,000.
