SPARK, the education foundation for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), raised $100,000 at their annual golf tournament fundraiser in Woodbridge.
The “Tee Off for Education” tournament was held on August 4 at the Old Hickory Golf Club.
With more than 35 sponsors and donors, SPARK was able to bring in the funds for their Innovative Grants program, according to a release.
“Through its Innovative Grants Program, the Foundation invests in programs that directly and measurably impact student achievement. These programs may impact a single classroom, a team of teachers, an individual school, or the entire School Division. Grants up to $5,000, are awarded and are reviewed monthly by a panel of educators and business leaders in the community,” stated a release.
