Spooky season is here, and with it comes fall programs run by Historic Dumfries Virginia (HDVI).
“Return to the Shadows” will be back, featuring a nighttime walking tour in Dumfries. The Dumfries Cemetery and Weems-Botts Museum are among the sites participants will see.
The ghost walk is taking place between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays from September 29 to October 29.
Tickets, available on Eventbrite, cost $18 for HDVI members and $20 for nonmembers.
A new offering this year is “Tracking the Trickster”. Those taking part in the paranormal investigation program are going to team up with an investigator. Together, they will collect information about a staff doppelganger who was reportedly seen by the shed and Annex.
The activity is occurring from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays in October.
Tickets can be found on Eventbrite and are $80. Space is very limited. Masks must be worn in the museum.
