If you’re planning to celebrate Cinco de Mayo tonight, then make sure you’ve got a safe – and free – ride home.
The Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) is running their SoberRide program from 7 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. on May 6.
SoberRide provides you with a free Lyft ride, up to a $15 fare, to get home in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.
To get your ride, “download the Lyft app to your phone, and then enter the code CINCODC in the app’s ‘Promo’ section. Valid for up to $15 off one ride taken in the Washington, D.C. coverage area. Valid for new and existing Lyft users,” stated a release.
You need to be 21 or older in order to use the SoberRide service.
“WRAP’s SoberRide , called one of the nation’s most successful free ride programs for would-be impaired drivers, has helped to ensure greater Washington, DC residents have a safe way home on high-risk holidays. Since 1991, WRAP has dispatched 66,756 safe rides home,” stated a release.
