Gainesville was named among the list of ‘Top 20 Virginia Cities for Raising a Family.’
The list was released as part of Wallethub’s report on 2017’s ‘Best Places to Raise a Family in Virginia’.
The report looked at 82 cities in the state with four major categories as criterion; family life and fun, health and safety, affordability, and socioeconomics.
Gainesville was ranked as number eleven on the list.
Other parts of Prince William were recognized in several categories – Montclair was ranked fifth for highest median family income, Manassas Park placed fourth for the lowest violent crime rate per capita, and Gainesville was also ranked fourth for the families with the most children.
