One of Patriot High School’s very own has placed in a national event.
Zoree Jones from the Nokesville school won the public speaking category of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Competition.
Programs hosted by FBLA seek to prepare students for business careers, according to a release from Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS).
Jones went up against students from across the United States and other countries during the national competition, which took place in San Antonio, TX earlier this month.
The rising senior has previously received the Junior Achievement of Greater Washington Essay Competition Award and has been recognized in the Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Contest.
